Working with Stanley Custom Homes to build our dream home proved to be a great experience. From designing the home through rough in of mechanical systems to the final finishing touches, Ken and his subcontractors made suggestions for changes, materials, and energy efficient modifications that improved the construction of our home and quality of life in our home. We built a 3,000+ sq ft one level home w/ two owner’s suites so Karen’s mother could live with us plus an unfinished basement. Over time we’ve had Stanley Custom Homes back to finish part of our basement Into a guest suite, home office and toy room for the grandchildren. As a REALTOR, I’m in 100’s of homes a month and still amazed at the quality of our home. Karen’s father was a builder in NC and we new what we wanted going into the home (3′ doors; 3,000+ sq ft of custom finished #2 white oak hardwood floors, two zone duel fuel HVAC system, plumbed for radon remediation if needed, energy efficiency, low maintenance exterior, passive solar, etc.), so we came in at our budgeted price point.
